Broker Trainee / Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities include:

• Process new account paperwork
• Send out necessary paperwork to be completed by client
• Greet customers and answer phones
• Follow up on new accounts
• Create and file new accounts and all pertinent paperwork for accounts
• Assist customer with paperwork for different account types
• Calculate and reiterate commissions to customers
• Follow up on any problems arising from paperwork for a customer
• Relay information to our clients through telephone and email
• Trouble-shooting customer service problems
• Mailing or faxing information to clients
• Assist all customers and branch brokers with IRAs / set-up and nuances of each type
• Prepare for securities licensing exams 7, 63 and 4
• Research and solve client inquiries of all levels
• Assist brokers as necessary
• Various other tasks related to account maintenance and customer support

Required skills:

• Previous experience in the brokerage industry helpful
• Data entry / typing skills (minimum 30 wpm)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Great organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Highly interested in the stock market
• Foster company success through a professional appearance, being courteous to customers and all brokersXpress Chicago associates, and by having a positive attitude.

Licensed Broker / Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities include all of those for the Broker Trainee position in addition to the following:

• Assist customers with account questions; respond to customer inquiries on related issues
• Place orders and provide market data to clients
• Research and solve client inquiries of all levels
• Communicate with clients via email and telephone
• Relay account information to clients
• Maintaining account records
• Verifying client’s purchase and sale instructions
• Processing the paperwork for trades and investments

Required skills:

• NASD series 7, 63 required (series 3 or 4 a plus)
• Experience in customer service center a plus
• BA/BS in finance or related field is preferable
• Ability to pass the Series 4 (Registered Options Principle) within 6 months of employment
• Good customer service work ethic and attitude
• Highly motivated and committed to ongoing self development

This position offers the potential to become a Senior Broker once skills are perfected and upon approval of the management.

Senior Broker

Responsibilities include all of those for the Licensed Broker position in addition to the following:

• Execute trades for brokersXpress Chicago’s most sophisticated and active brokerage customers
• Ability to support and trade for sophisticated option clientele
• Deliver superior responsiveness in support of our client’s base’s inquiries
• Assist customers in understanding and implementing such activities as margin borrowing, options trading, and short selling
• Deliver industry leading service quality to our client base that translates into high levels of customer satisfaction
• Provide a market centric attitude and experience for our clients
• Responsible for fostering and developing close, professional client relationships that result in increased confidence in brokersXpress Chicago
• Maintain a high level of trading accuracy
• Exhibit utmost in professionalism
• Demonstrate high levels of teamwork and commitment toward achieving common goals
• Participate in additional assignments and initiatives for the business partners as needed
• Represent the company at client events and trade shows as necessary

Required Skills:

• NASD Series 7, 63 required (series 3 or 4 a plus)
• Ability to pass the Series 4 (Registered Options Principle) within 6 months of hire
• Ability to pass the Series 3 (National commodity futures exam) within 6 months of hire
• 3–5 years trading experience in equities and options preferred but equivalent experience considered
• Able to multi-task and absorb information across a broad spectrum of products
• Has an Entrepreneurial spirit and is willing to take on additional responsibility quickly
• BA/BS in finance or related field is preferable.
